Many loyal patrons have shared enthusiastic testimonials that underscore Izakaya Go’s standout qualities. One reviewer, “baby casper,” praises the "rich, creamy, and packed with umami" Uni pasta alongside the "super fresh and beautifully presented" sashimi, calling it one of the best late-night Izakaya experiences in Las Vegas. Another guest, Annie Chen, recommends the Uni Chawan Mushi for its unbeatable value, coupled with the chef’s sashimi platter and superb yakitori skewers. The buzz of satisfied diners at peak times also highlights the restaurant’s popularity as a go-to spot for authentic Japanese flavors in an animated yet comfortable setting.
While the restaurant sees high demand — leading to considerable waits during peak hours as noted by “Cat Lee” — the attentive service and quality cuisine reward the patience of those who come. Even with the bustling vibe, the staff’s dedication keeps the experience lively and memorable.
In summary, Izakaya Go stands out as a true culinary gem in Las Vegas for those who crave genuine Japanese izakaya culture enriched by expertly crafted dishes and a lively, welcoming atmosphere. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Late-Night Izakaya Experience! Izakaya Go is hands down one of the best spots in Las Vegas for authentic Japanese food and late-night bites. Everything we ordered was outstanding! The Uni pasta was rich, creamy, and packed with umami — definitely a must-try. The whole Aji sashimi and kampachi sashimi was super fresh and beautifully presented, and the Oh Toro melted in our mouths. For something heartier, the Miso beef tongue was tender and flavorful, and both the beef liver sashimi and stir-fried wagyu beef liver were incredibly unique and delicious — perfectly cooked and seasoned. The grilled chicken skin and chicken liver skewers were also excellent, crispy on the outside and full of flavor. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt authentic yet relaxed — perfect for sharing great food and drinks with friends. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving top-quality Japanese dishes beyond the usual sushi rolls.
highly recommended!!! (they also have happy hour after 10pm, late night good choice) Love the Uni Chawan Mushi!! it’s such a good price to have an uni! and the chef’s recommended sashimi platter is so good! definitely the yakitori
Was here on a weeknight at the peak hour around 6:15pm as a family of 3 without reservation so wait was a around 50 min(was supposed to be 2+ hours but we got offered a small table for 2 after around 50 mins of wait and we didn't mind as my son was so hungry ). Would definitely recommend making reservations if you're planning to stop by at the peak hours .. Food - We ordered a few appetizers and 3 main dishes. They're all very delicious and the food choices were great! Service was very decent acknowledging that they're pretty busy. Overall very friendly service! Love a lady server who's always smiling. They do offer free ice cream if you leave a google review!
This has to be one of the best sushi places i’ve ever been to. The service was amazing and the staff were nice though the whole place was extremely packed. I went to the ones in San Diego but this sushi place still top in quality. The prices are affordable compared to other places that have lower quality. I love the vibes here, if you live in this area and don’t know where you eat or traveling and want to try something new, make sure to check this sushi place out! The sushi’s were really good with many diversity
Restaurant had dirty tables not cleaned when we arrived. Sat us at a table that was cramped in together with others. The service was excellent. The poke salad had an unusual flavor to the dressing which I did not care for at all. I recommend getting the dressing on the side. The sushi roll was very good. The ton katsu ramen soup made spicy was good. It's slightly smaller than you typical size ramen bowl elsewhere. The broth was tasty.
*HONEST REVIEW* I came here on a whim with a co worker of mine, it was a random Monday night but I just wanted to try something new. We were immediately greeted by the staff and they asked us if we would like a seat at the bar or a booth. We chose the bar because we also wanted some drinks, the restaurant was a little cramped but nothing bothersome, the vibe was good though, it was calm and everything around us seemed to be having a good time and enjoying their meals. This excited me, I couldn't wait to have mine. I ordered some eel, some meatballs, drinks and a plethora of other things, I wanted to try it all, and oh wow did they not disappoint, the food was delicious and the drinks were strong but not too strong, it was impressive, I will definitely be back for more, specially because once I asked for the check I found out that it was happy hour and so my check was only like $30 for a bunch of food and drinks in Chinatown, that is a bargain! Bravo Izakaya Go, I will be back soon!
I don't know what to tell you. This place is very authentic and very good. This place has a look and feel of a real Japanese Izakaya. The staff a wonderful. I'm impressed that they have Japanese whiskeys a good selection of sake and Okinawan beer and Awamori. Mimi was attentive and Book was on point with the drinks. This is my new favorite place and the next time I'm here I'm definitely going to recruit all my friends.
I'm a regular in Vegas and have visited countless restaurants—especially Japanese spots. Without a doubt, Izakaya Go is THE BEST authentic Japanese restaurant in Las Vegas since they opened (10+ years ago). The style, presentation, and flavor here closely resemble what I’ve experienced in Japan. Some of the fish are even imported directly from Japan. I highly recommend ordering their “special of the day”—just know that availability varies, which is perfectly normal for fresh seafood. Insider Tip: If you order sashimi with a whole fish (currently around $20 or more), ask your server to make miso soup with the fish head after you’re done—it costs a bit extra, but it’s absolutely worth it. Also, the wasabi served with the whole fish is exceptional—definitely a must-try. My only minor disappointment has been the ginkgo nuts—the quality seems to dip occasionally. It’s not consistent every time, which is a bit unfortunate, but still a relatively small issue considering how exceptional the rest of the menu is. A few more notes: They don’t open for lunch, so plan for dinner only. Go early or late to avoid long wait times—this place might get packed. If you're particular about uni (sea urchin), be aware that the origin can vary. Just ask the chef or owner if you're a more advanced Japanese foodie. That said, I’ve never been disappointed by their uni or any of their raw dishes—everything has been consistently excellent.
